Sincere Auri A sophomore release this excellent is a rarity, and it was well worth the two-year wait. Heavy and eclectic, it scratches itches few other albums reach. Favorite track: The Sleep.

Kenny Walton The Deuce supplies all of the hard hitting, creative, sometimes eccentric style that we love about Last Scattering.
Instrumentally, The Deuce is much cleaner and refined. The clean vocals are killer on this album, although the intensity of the previous vocalist's harsh vocals will be missed.
8.5/10 Favorite track: Harbinger.

Track Name: The Wayfarer
This can’t be real,
That place I know.
And how can this have faded,
I’m left this soulless, empty voyager.
This can’t be real,
That place I know.
It has to feel like before, How can it feel like before.
Except the cracks, Grow beneath me. This heart I’ve held, Has bled out empty.
And I fell alone, Soulless empty. And I fell alone.
I burned my hand,
While trying to find the fire.
In the heat of that desert day,
There ain’t much left to trust these days they say. In the heat of that desert day,
There ain’t much left to trust these days.
But as quickly as I thought it you were gone.
But as quickly as I thought it you were gone. Disappeared into the never how didn’t you know? How didn’t you know?
Stare into the windshield,
See what you have done.
This can’t be real,
That place I know.
It has to feel like before. This can’t be real,
That place I know.
It has to feel like before.
These threads are coming undone.
I don’t know where to begin,
The hearts that tore are burned again. And I don’t know where to begin,
The resolve of this callous man,
Burns again.
I don’t know where to begin,
Rebuild, reconstruct this life when I’m gone.
And I don’t know where to begin, The hearts that tore, burned again.
I don’t know where to begin,
Rebuild, reconstruct this life when I’m gone. And I’m sorry for all that I couldn’t do.
I had so much to tell you.
I had so much time,
I had so much left to give,
But like the wind I’ll fade.
I’ll fade into the forest that never blooms.
In solitude I’ll wait.
In the dissonance I’ll pray, And hope that you’ll stay. In the shadows I’ll remain.
I’ll wait for you I’ll wait for you, I’ll wait.
I will wait for you, I will wait for you.
This can’t be real,
That place I know.
It has to feel like before. This can’t be real,
That place I know.
It has to feel like before.
When the heat’s unbearable.
In the heat of that desert day,
There ain’t much left to trust these days. But as quickly as I saw it you were gone.
And I will wait for you. And I just wait for you, Just wait for you,
Just wait for you,
Just wait for you.
Track Name: Mist
The scars left in the trees,

Tell a story of the roots that erased the leaves.
Roots erased the leaves.
I’ve forgotten all but shadows of,
A silhouette and a melody.
Whisper me a song a static lie.

As I stood and stared,
Awestruck by the silence,
I was but a shadow in the night who let fate decide, And I stood there from dusk to dawn light.
I let the mist consume me,
Spread into my pores the venom flows through me. The air so dense intoxicating,
I’ve never felt anymore alive.
Never anymore clear or more alive. Breathe me forever.
This scar has bled me dry.
And I can’t believe the scars are binding,
They’re cauterized but inside they’re still bleeding.
Like a drop of rain,
Sews the seeds of aging.
A drop of rain,
Splits the earth beneath us.
Like a drop of rain,
Splits the earth beneath us. A drop of rain,
Sews the seeds of aging.
A drop of rain.
As I walk through the mist and the water, The cold chills to my bones.
I thought I’d find you here,
Because it’s the farthest place from home.
I can’t believe the scars are binding, Cauterized but inside they’re still bleeding.
For the lives that you’ve taken, I cannot forgive,
The lives that you’ve broken,
I cannot forgive.
For the lives that you’ve taken, I cannot forgive.
I can’t believe the scars are binding, Cauterized but inside they’re still bleeding.
Charred by the fires that burn within me. The path set to clarity has burned away.
For the lives that you’ve taken, I will not forgive,
The lives that you’ve broken,
I will not forgive.
For the lives that you’ve taken, I will not forgive.
Track Name: Harbinger
Blackened reflectionsOf a specter in the shadows. And I sense, another wanderer sent to take me.
Leaving the windows bare, Crack through the silence, Make me whole again. Leaving the windows bare.
I swear I feel her cold hands grasping the distance. Nothing left but time to take its hold.
That bitter cold starts to appeal to me, Her pale blue eyes, they bleed temptation. And I know it’s more than I can take,So I’m tempting time, I’m tempting fate, But climbing this ladder slowly, breaking, The rungs beneath me.
Shattered walls, slowly remind me of insanity. All the noises, slowly convincing me that this is home.
All the noises slowly convincing me. Clawing at the walls, calling out to me.
And I,Don’t know that I can hold my breath,Don’t know that I can hold my composure anymore. I don’t know if I can hold my composure,Anymore.
God help us all.I hear them in my head just fucking God help us all. God help us all.
Through the cracks in the weathered walls,I smell her malicious intent.Like maggots they feed, they infest and they crawl, Like the paranoia that festers in my head.
This can’t be where we ought to stay.I have my suspicions,The things in these walls aren’t what they seem.
Through the cracks in the weathered walls,I smell her malicious intent.Like the maggots they feed and they crawl,Like the paranoia that festers in my headLike the paranoia, they infest and they feed and they crawl.
Through the cracks in the weathered walls, They infest, they feed and they crawl.
Carving through the skin,Itching like a scab from a scar that begs to leave its mark.
Disappearing through the holes in the walls, My legacy dies in this house.
Nevermore, quoth the raven,As he bathed in the mouth of the heretic. With sympathy, despite me,And their severity of this pale illusion.
Leaving the windows bare, Crack through the silence, Make me whole again. Leaving the windows bare.
Track Name: Limey
Beneath the waves I hide in shadows. Holding my breath I see
A figure above me
As I break it’s the only
Thing that I see.
My eyes must be deceiving me.
On the surface it’s just broken pieces of an interest in nothing. I will hold,
The threads and foundations of
This beautiful lie.
Washing the canvas away,
I notice a message left beneath the madness.
As the fixtures fade.
It tells of a savage and wildly beast,
Ridding the world from its impurities, kneething me. I breathe in a different fashion, breeding lies.
It automatically, had fashioned a place to rest, Beneath the ashes, beneath our feet.
Out of sight, out of mind.
Turning a blind eye,
To the chasm,
That churns beneath us all. Churns beneath us all.
Buried beneath of the willow tree,
A specter calls out to me silently, vengefully.
There’s more dirt on your hands than you’d care to admit. There’s nothing between us.
But there’s more dirt on your hands than you’d care to admit. There’s nothing between us now.
Nothing between us now.
The ashes and churning and dust, nauseating, thrust side to side from the undertow.
Breaking through the silence, deafening, an ear piercing scream, the likes of which that I have never heard.
Never seen.
I have never felt so inhuman.
I wish that I knew another way. Catch the horizon, follow me home, Wherever that is today.
Wherever that is today.
Wherever that is today.
Just follow me home.
Just follow me home,
Wherever that is today.
Fading, fading,
Call to me.
Fading, fading away.
With hands tied, I tread the water. Eradication, escaping the fires.
With hands tied, they will know my name, They will know.
Fading, fading away.
I fear it’s just a matter of time, Before it all turns to dust. Turns to dust.
Beneath the waves I hide in shadows. Holding my breath I see,
A figure above me,
As I break it’s the only,
Thing I see.
Track Name: One More Fire
As I stare upon the horizon,
The ashes of my brothers glisten,
In the ray of a single star,
Shining through this twilit autumn night.
I don’t know the emotions I’m supposed to feel. We all had a hand in this system’s fate.
As the disbelief supersedes my guilt,
And we bathe in ignorance.
Swallowed by the mouth of sorrow.
The splinters of our fractured teeth left in our dead. We left our home to save it,
And split the bones of this world’s disease,
But we split the bones of this world instead.
And I dredge my pride, Through the scars I’ve created. At least I can say that I’ve tried, I’ve tried...
But alas a little spark of life,
Calling out to us, calling out to us.
A light in the shadows of the ones we’ve left behind, Calling out to us calling out to us. Gone.
I don’t know how to feel anything but numb,
But I’ve grown to love this cold,
Because it’s taught me to appreciate the pain.
As the dust settles,
And through the smoke I see, I feel the guilt take over me.
The blood on my hands,
Ever more apparent,
And the plight of this mourning day, Seems to have lost its merit.
One more sting,
One more chance,
One more black hand to grip the surface.
One more night,
And one more fire to bind us. One more fire.
Calling out to you, calling out to you.
But I don’t know your name, but I don’t know your name. (One more fire to bind us)
Calling out to you,
I’ll make you whole again, I’ll make you whole again.
I’ll make you whole again. One more fire to bind us, One more night alone.
But that was when I heard them, It’s an evil that wears no face.
Swift like shadow.
Swift like shadow, and whispers like death,
With my hair stood on end from the chill of their breath. The chill of their breath...
Track Name: The Encounter
I met a man today, he said I had a chance I could be saved. In just ten minutes you’ll see the world.
Say the word, and I’ll take you there.
Bury your hatchets, live without care.
Are you with me son? We can’t be long now.
As the mirror fades, my reflection stays in place.
I’ve seen him in the streets, He’s a peddler I’m sure,
He stands there all alone,
An aimless voyager on his own.
I woke up,
Another man today. But for the day,
Maybe I could be saved.
And then maybe the world, They’ll hear me say, Everything I need to say.
Hurry it up now,
I wanna be saved cause,
I woke up another man today. But for the day,
Maybe I could be saved.
He said,
“Say the word, and I’ll take you there. Bury your hatchets, live without care.”
What have you done to me lately, I’ve been seeing slightly.
What have you done to me lately, I’ve been seeing slightly.
Where I’ve been,
In these last few days, has changed me. These last few days,
I woke up sleeping.
I’m a broken portrait of a broken man.
The sweat on my brow stings the cracks in my skin. I know, I know I should see somebody, goddamn.
I’m just too tired these days.
Oh my fucking god,
Just let me close my eyes tonight.
What have you done to me? I’ve been dreaming, naivety.
These sleepless nights bring out the worst in me. I can’t fight the curiosity.
But these pills,
They keep me from falling over, The edge I’ve built,
I’ve built myself.
But these pills,
They keep me.
They keep me safe.
They keep me safe
Track Name: The Sleep
Scratch the surface but under the skin oh god,
I hear the whispers they tell me that I’m the only one.
She always comes to me when I fall asleep. A sour sight for such a sightly dream.
I am the one that desires,
But she is the one who is knocking, Calling me closer to whisper me silence Through the grapevine of temptation.
Day by day, and night by night,
More and more familiar.
Closer each night, she scares me to sleep With nothing more than a whisper.
Slowly, burn, me, down, to, sleep.
I’ve grown to fear, the creaks from beneath.
I spread cold.
A desolate, but passionate hold. In this world I am infinite,
Should truth be told, I am alone.
Alone,
Can’t you see that I need this?
That man,
He warned about you.
He said I wouldn’t be safe with you, But here I am.
You’ve got me good, I’ll admit it.
Drag me down to the deepest hell,
Bury me the secrets of this empty shell. Burden me, I’m a canvas for your creation.
Paint me your picture of perfection,
You seem delighted at the thought of subjugation.
I feel my eyes start to shake,
From the outside.
As if someone’s shaking me awake, But I’m not ready.
Paint me your picture of perfection,
These nerves are more than I can take,
I shake so violent.
Just five more minutes and I swear that I’ll awake. A dream so vibrant.
Paint me your picture of perfection, Paint me your picture of perfection.
I feel the cold, slowly leave my veins,
Now there’s nothing left that will comfort me more, It took away the pain.
Sleep child,
And wait for tomorrow,
It waits for you.
Sleep child,
And wait for tomorrow,
It waits for you.
One last night a faceless man, Tomorrow you’ll have a name.
And they will remember you. And they will remember you.
Track Name: The Loss
What have you, Done to me?
I can’t believe.
What have you done to me,
I can’t believe this is where you bring me, Where you bring me now.
Like a stitch through the flesh of the verve,
I’m here to mend the pestilence destitute decay.
I am but a thread in the fabric torn, of humanity’s failings, We are but pawns in the world’s dismay,
I swear it.
Treading along through the waters, Standing in the rays of the sun.
A ray of light through a broken cloud, Shines bright but doesn’t make a sound.
It’s almost done, I’m almost there my friend. Just one more shattered night.
I am the brink of doubt,
I will deceive them now.
Tell me your lies again,
But I am yours.
I am the brink of doubt, I will deceive them now. Tell me your lies again, But I am yours.
Lost in the darkness,
Covered in the blood of my mistakes, I have forgotten everything,
Except your grace.
You are to me, everything I know.
After all this time, anticipation grips me. I know what I have to do.
Its too late to leave.
It’s too late to leave if I wanted to.
As I walk through the courtyard, I feel the chill. It’s too late to leave if I wanted to.
Can you breathe?
I don’t know if I can breathe.
I don’t know where I am anymore,
But I trust you.
Can you breathe?
I don’t know if I can breathe.
And I don’t know where I am anymore,
But I trust you.
But I trust you.
But I trust you.
I don’t know if I can breathe, but I trust you.
They will remember me,
And then the world will see,
I’m not that man they knew.
I’ll follow you, to the end my friend.
This is not what you promised me.
Why are these chains that are binding me, Made from a metal so cold?
This temptress hath spoke and forsaken me, Brought me to a place beyond death,
With eternity calling me,
Home.
